How do I cancel my subscription with Apple?

How do I change the time I receive my training reminder?

From the main menu, tap on the Profile tab. Then tap on the Settings gear located in the top right corner of the screen, and choose Notifications. From there, you can enable or disable a reminder and modify the time it arrives to your device.

Can I sync my account on multiple devices?

Yes. You can back up your Balance account on any supported iOS device. It can take up 20 minutes for your second device to update.

What is the difference between a Plan and a Single?

Plans are personalized, 10-day programs that teach you 9 distinct meditation skills. Singles are individual meditations you can play whenever you need them.

How do I replay a Single or a session from a Plan?

You can replay any Single or Plan session at any time. In fact, Singles are meant to be repeated often. Simply tap on the Single you'd like to play again. To replay a lesson or guided meditation from a Plan, open the Plan, swipe the days to the right or left, and tap on the session you’d like to replay.

How do I change the duration of a meditation?

All meditations have a short and long version. Open a session or Single, and tap on the Time button to select your preferred duration.

What are skills?

Skills are concrete meditation techniques that you train during your guided meditations. There are 9 distinct meditation skills that you'll learn and deepen by working through Plans. You also make progress with skills by using the Singles. Self-direction is a tenth skill that isn't taught in a Plan. You make progress with it only by using the Unguided Single.

What are badges and how do they work?

There are four badges that track your streak, time trained, Plans, and Singles. Continue to train with Balance to earn new badges.

How do streaks work?

Your streak reflects how many days in a row you’ve trained with Balance. Completing an exercise in a Plan or a Single counts toward your streak.

How do I upgrade my account and become a member?

From the Profile page, tap on the UPGRADE button. Then choose your subscription preference.

I’ve purchased a subscription, but I’m unable to access all the features. What do I do?

Sometimes it helps to close and reopen Balance. Please also verify that you are logged in with the correct email address. This can be confirmed from your Settings page. If you are logged in with the wrong email, tap on the Log Out button from the Settings. To sign back in, select the button that says, No, let me sign in, and then continue to sign in with Facebook or email.

General Troubleshooting

What do I do if I’m having downloading issues?

Occasionally, Balance requires an Internet connection to download the latest content. Please check if you're on a reliable WiFi network that's showing full bars in your device's WiFi Settings. Restarting the app while connected to a strong WiFi network will resolve most issues.

What do I do if Balance is unresponsive?

  1. Press the home button twice on your device to see small previews of your recently used apps.
  2. Swipe left to find Balance.
  3. Swipe up on Balance’s preview to close it.
  4. Tap on the Balance icon to restart Balance.
  5. If you’re still encountering an issue, contact us at support@balanceapp.com.

What do I do if restarting Balance doesn’t fix my issues?

If you’re encountering issues with Balance on your iOS device and restarting the app does not help, try restarting your device.

  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

What do I do if restarting my device doesn’t fix my issues?

If you have an iOS device and are encountering issues with Balance that aren't resolved through other troubleshooting tips, try reinstalling Balance.

  1. Tap and hold the Balance icon on your home screen until it wiggles.
  2. Tap the X to delete the app from your device.
  3. Reinstall Balance from the App Store.
  4. Be sure to login with your Balance credentials to restore your progress.
